4 action games to fight your lockdown boredom

and discover new virtual worlds

Needless to say the pandemic, and lockdowns on top have had a considerable impact on all of us. However, there is a piece of good news: playing video games is still a thing and a good remedy, no matter what age you are!

Check out four cool action game titles below you can try out for a bit of extra fun! They are all available and playable either on PS or PC:

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The latest release (2020) of Ubisoft’s genius series, Assassins’ Creed is a must-try for this year, especially if you are a Vikings series fan (or a Vikings’ history enthusiast). Eivor (male or female choice enabled) will take you on a journey through colonising historical England’s territories and raiding for your settlement. You get to meet Ivar the Boneless and Ubba, fight alongside them, close alliances and even visit the mystical Valhalla while growing as a reputable Viking leader, and a member of the mythical Assassins’ creed.

It is an open-world game, with endless scouting possibilities, and adventures. A (self) discovery journey through unbelievable graphic technology and gaming stories.

Tip 1: Visit Valhalla and meet the gods.

Tip 2: There is a love story waiting for you to explore.

Assasin’s Creed Syndicate

Curious to see what life was like in the 19th century back in London’s Modern Age (by playing the 2015 release)? Assassin’s Creed Syndicate takes you on the journey of two siblings (both playable), Jacob and Evie, devoted to fighting the gang’s leaders (Templars) and restoring freedom to the people.

You get to meet Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, and Alexander Bell and travel in time to meet Winston Churchill, during the 1st World War.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

In the 2015 Crystal Dynamics production, Lara embarks on another adventure, marking the incredible 11th-release road mile. You can join her on an exploratory trip to Siberia while fighting the dreadful Trinity organisation, and looking for the lost city of Kitezh and the Divine Source of immortality.

The adjacent tombs are ready for you to explore and raid for collectible items, by solving their puzzles.

Tip: If you own a VR headset, the game allows for a level playable in VR, giving you a really cool way to explore the Croft Manor and solve some puzzles. It is a really impressive immersive experience that should be tried out!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

If you played and loved Tomb Raider previously, but even if you never played it, you need to try the latest release (2018), Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Lara Croft will take you on an amazing journey through Central and South America, Amazon, the lost Inca city, Paititi, and Maya culture, while of course, trying to save the world from another Trinity-plotted catastrophe.

As usual, there are the main mission and side missions, exploring tombs, swimming, grappling, shooting, networking, and fighting for the good!
